Bonjour,
Il suffit d’utiliser l’auxiliaire BE au prétérit (c’est à dire was lorsque le sujet est au singulier et were lorsqu’il est au pluriel) suivi d’un verbe+ing pour marquer une action qui a durée dans le temps. Par exemple « Thé Coles were playing chess ».
