Indique la prononciation des terminaisons soulignées sous forme de tableau
Pour savoir comment on doit prononcer, on doit uniquement faire attention au SON final du verbe ( de la base verbale )
→ - "ed" se prononce /id/ après les sons /d/ et /t/
→ "ed" se prononce /t/ après les sons /p/; /k/; /f/, /s/, /ch/
→ "ed" se prononce /d/ après les autres sons
a- Helped - help ( son /p/) donc "helped" = /t/
b- started - start ( son /t/ ) donc "started" = /id/
c- moved - = son /d/
d- jumped - jump ( son /p/ ) donc jumped = /t/
e- loved - = son /d/
f-stopped - stop ( son /p/ ) donc "stopped" = /t/
g- washed - wash ( son /ch/ ) donc washed = /t/
h- played - = son /d/
i- tasted - taste ( son /t/ ) donc "tasted" = /id/
j- wanted - want ( son /t/) donc "wanted = /id/
⇒ Il suffit de faire un tableau de 3 colonnes avec les différents sons et mettre les verbes
2- Mets les verbes entre parenthèses au prétérit simple
a- I posted your letter last Friday.
b- When I was younger I worked ten hours a day!
c- Sorry, I didn't hear you !
d- I thought it was not very clever.
e- Why did they call the police?
f- She celebrated her birthday last Sunday.
g- When did Christopher Columbus discover America?
h- When did they move?
i- They didn't answer because it was too difficult.
j- As she looked angry, I didn't say anything.
(+) verbes réguliers: on ajoute "ed" / verbes irréguliers : par coeur
(-) didn't + BV
(?) did + sujet + BV ...?
Mets les verbes entre parenthèses au prétérit en be+-ing
(+) sujet + was/were + BV-ing
(?) was/were + sujet + BV-ing ?
(-) sujet + wasn't/weren't + BV-ing
a- When I saw her she was sitting at the top of the stairs.
verbe qui se termine par une consonne précédée d'une seule voyelle : on double la consonne finale
b- What were you doing yesterday at 6 p.m.?
c- The sun was shining , it was summer.
d- Some of them were dancing.
e- Why was she smiling ?
f- I cule hear them: they were fighting in the street.
g- No, she isn't crying!
h- I could easily imagine what she was thinking of!
