Finally, he handed over his wallet, and the assailant snatched it and ran off into the night, leaving the teenager shaken and distraught.
**Actions Taken:**
As soon as I realized what was happening, I quickly dialed 911 to report the incident to the police. I provided them with a detailed description of the assailant and the victim, as well as the direction in which the assailant fled. I stayed on the line with the dispatcher until the police arrived at the scene.
**Result:**
The police responded swiftly and began their investigation. They took statements from me and other witnesses who had seen or heard the altercation. Unfortunately, the assailant had already fled the scene, and despite a thorough search of the area, he was not apprehended that night. However, the victim was provided with medical assistance and support from the authorities to ensure his safety and well-being.
