Definition of segregation : Racial segregation is the separation, either by law or action, of people of different races in all manner of daily activities, such as education, housing and the use of public facilities.
Segragation started after the abolition of slavery in 1865 with the Jim Crow laws and ended in 1968 with laws like the Civil Rights act.
